Daily Exercise & Diet # 2

Today was a pretty good day I think. I incorporated a lot into my exercise routine, and I ate a little healthier. So lets show you what I did!

Exercise:
Speed Walking | Cardio | Time: 30 Min's

Abs:
Sit Ups | Strength Training/Toning | Reps: 2 sets of 10
Planks | Strength Training/Toning | Reps: 4 (both sides, and then the normal plank twice)

Legs:
Squats | Strength Training/Toning | Reps: 2 sets of 10
Lunges | Strength Training/Toning | Reps: 2 sets of 10

Arms:
Curl Ups | Strength Training/Toning | Reps: 2 sets of 10 w/ 10 lbs each hand
Side Lifts | Strength Training/Toning | Reps: 2 sets of 10 w/ 10 lbs each hand
Arm/Shoulder Raised over head | Strength Training/Toning | Reps: 2 sets of 10 w/ 10lbs each hand
Back Raises (over my head) | Strength Training/Toning | Reps: 2 sets of 10 w/ 10 lbs held with two hands.

So yeah I really did a lot today for me! Um sorry I don't know what the exact exercises are called. If you have any questions on them just comment and I will try to explain them the best I can. Now on to food!

Breakfast:
- 1 glass of water
- 1 whole grain banana nut muffin

Lunch:- 1 100 cal bag of Doritos
- 1 Peach Green Tea Metabolism Crystal Light

Dinner:
- 2 grilled hot dogs on wheat buns and ketchup & mustard
- 1 Lemonade Crystal Light

Snack 1:
- 1 cinnamon stick with frosting filled center.

Just a side note. I usually make the metabolism Crystal Light in the morning and it lasts me until about dinner time, and then around dinner I make a lemonade Crystal Light, or a Skin Essentials one. I make them in a 20oz bottle. It keeps me from reaching for the soda lol. Um you may not think I eat enough, but honestly I feel a person should only eat when there hungry and eat until there full. Well today that filled me up. Some days I do eat more, but usually I don't eat that much.

& I have actually lost 2 lbs already!!! & I actually weighed myself after eating! So it may be even less!

So yeah please comment and give me some more ideas. I have no idea how to get people to follow my blogs to be quite honest. But even if no one wants to this is my own personal fitness journal.

Daily Exercise & Diet # 1

Ok so today is kind of the start of my fitness journey, so I started out sweet and simple. My sister and I speed walked for half an hour before dinner, and then another half hour after dinner. That was basically it today. lol I know that's probably terrible, but we kind of got a late start on it today.

Exercise: Speed Walking | Category: Cardio| Time: 1 hour

So now we are on to what I ate today. & yes I'm not going to skimp out, I will be completely honest!

Breakfast:
Well... I slept in very late today so I didn't eat breakfast
-1 glass of water

Lunch:
-5 saltine crackers w/ tuna (2 tbs mayo, a dash of salt, and a dash of pepper for seasoning) (about 130 calories or so.. could even be less)
-Lemonade Crystal light (5 calories)

Snack 1:
-1 zebra cake (100 calories)

Dinner:
-1 small bowl of chili
-1 small piece of garlic bread
-1 glass of water

Snack 2:
-1 zebra cake again! lol
-1 cup mint hot cocoa with low fat milk

So as you can see I'm not a huge calorie counter. I feel like you can eat what you want in proportion. This isn't as healthy as I would like, but it wasn't too bad today. I have dramatically cut down my portion sizes, and snacking though. Actually everyday, but today I have eaten much healthier lol. I only had that second snack because I watched a move called Triangle (don't watch it, it was stupid!) & I have to go grocery shopping again for healthy foods since all my sister ever buys is junk food. So tomorrow will hopefully be better!

My goal for tomorrow is to eat less unhealthy snacks and to workout a bit more.
I think I will play an hour of DDR (Dance Dance Revolution), do some strength training, and still do my speed walking.

Well I hope this helps inspire you. Remember, you don't need fancy gym equipment to get in shape. As long as you have access to a place you can walk, and you have your body you can get a great workout. Try doing sit ups, push ups, planks, and lunges, and speed walking everyday! Welcome to My Fitness Blog!

Welcome to my fitness blog. Here I will post my daily exercise, and diet. I'm still kind of a beginner with exercise and healthy eating so feel free to give me some exercise routines and healthy food recipes. So yeah I hope this helps inspire others to get fit, and eat healthy. I don't eat 100% healthy since I'm not the one who cooks dinner, but I try to eat the best I can.

Some basics about me:

Weight: (going to keep this to myself for now. I will reveal my start weight when I lose the weight I want off)

Height: 5'6"

Age: 19

Body type: curvy. I'm not really fat I just need to lose about 20lbs and tone up.

Goal per Month: to lose at least 5 pounds or 10lbs if possible

Long Term Goal(s) To lose about 20-40 lbs, and to learn to eat healthy, and stay fit for the rest of my life.

Let me explain my approach to losing this weight.

Basically my approach is to stop drinking soda, and other sugary drinks. I have replaced them with water, and crystal light. I also try to eat more veggies and fruits for snacks rather than potato chips, and cookies. I also try to watch how much I eat as well. I use a small plate at dinner now rather than a big one so that I can control how much I eat easier. I try to take my time at all my meals, and try to eat them at a table as well. & of course I am starting to incorporate exercise into my daily life as well.

Now let me explain how I gained the weight.

I used to drink 4-5 cans of soda a day, which is what I believe has caused me to gain unwanted weight. I combined that with a lack of exercise as well, which may I say, is not a good combo! I also was eating very unhealthy foods constantly such as cookies, chips, sugary filled fruit snacks etc. I snacked so much because I am bored now that I have graduated from school, and have nothing to do (I have, however been trying to find a job)

So one day I woke up a realized I wasn't very happy with my body anymore. I went from a size 5 to a size 11 (juniors) in what seemed like a year. Yes I have never been stick thin or model thin, but I did look pretty damn good. I have always had a flat stomach. The only issues I have always had is slightly large (curvy) thighs, and I do have a butt ladies lol But I still looked very attractive and fit. I personally think I had perfect proportions. Well now I kind of have a pouch on my tummy. My thighs haven't really changed, nor my butt, and my arms have lost some of it's definition as well. & this all happened because I stopped being active. I used to walk everyday because I kind of had to. & I used to have gym everyday as a Senior. So basically my eating just got out of control, and my exercise was non existent.

Now for my goal.

So my goal is to tone my abs up, my arms, and my overall body. I would love to be back at a size 5. But I would like to aim for a size 3. I also want to learn to choose healthy foods over bad foods, and stay fit for life.

I've never been big on exercise my whole life. In fact I rarely ever did. So I must have a slightly fast metabolism. Like I said I don't look overweight I just look like I'm not toned.
